This recipe belonged to my great grandmother. I love making this as a quick treat for the kids and I bake in bulk when we go on holiday.
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 oz butter
Sift the flour, sugar and baking powder together. Rub the butter in. Break eggs into flour mix. Add milk gradually, beating all the time until the dough is fairly soft and creamy. Beat mixture for about 5 minutes after adding the eggs. Bake in patty tins at 180 degrees until light brown.
